I’ve been immersed in the education field for over 30 years in a variety of roles. My tutors and students are like extended family and I wouldn’t have it any other way! It’s the deepest joy of my heart to make math easy (and even fun!) for kids. I’m so thrilled to provide our tutoring services in support of every child and family in need of math help in finding joy in math. Some even say that I have a superpower - I have been known to turn bad days into good days - Using MATH!!

Tier 1  : Premier Practitioner

After 35 years of teaching K-8 students, I still love seeing students "get" a math concept and own that knowledge as they move forward in their understanding.  I want your student to feel confident, and excited at their ability to understand math.  I'm also an avid gardener and enjoy watching both flowers and students bloom. I speak three languages and I live in New Jersey.

Tier 2 : Master Tutor

My specialty is teaching elementary age students and I honestly wouldn’t be happy doing anything else. Math is by far my favorite. I feel so gratified when I see kids light up with confidence as they experience their own success. I’ve recently completed my masters in Special Education which has provided me with an expansive tool box for helping kids move forward no matter where they’re starting from.

Tier 2 : Master Tutor

With a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and 20 years of high school math teaching experience, I enjoy helping students navigate the world of math.  I have experience teaching secondary subjects from Algebra up to Calculus. Using tools such as a growth mindset, critical thinking, and real-world relevance, I believe math can become an adventure for students, rather than a chore. Ultimately, my goal is for my students to grow beyond the need for a tutor, having internalized the math concepts set before them.

Tier 3 : Tutor Teacher

I adore kids, teaching, and math, so naturally math tutoring is a passion zone for me! Specifically the RightStart Math curriculum has struck a chord with me and I enjoy fusing my instincts with this great curriculum in my teaching. Really I just love sharing my knowledge with others so they can be empowered too.

Tier 4 : Skilled Mentor

With a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and over 20 years of dedicated experience, I am a passionate educator specializing in RightStart Math tutoring. My career has given me a deep understanding of how children learn, with extensive classroom experience in both general and special education settings.

This dual background allows me to skillfully adapt to diverse learning styles and needs, ensuring every child can find success. I am a firm believer in the RightStart Math approach, using its hands-on, conceptual methods to build a deep and lasting understanding. My greatest joy as an educator is to see students' confidence blossom as they discover that math can be engaging, interactive, and genuinely fun.

Tier 3 : Teacher Tutor

Teaching has always brought me the greatest joy. I can truly say I was made for this! I have taught multiple grades and have my Masters in Literacy Instruction. Kids are the future and I’m so grateful that I get to play a small role in their success!2

Tier 2 : MasterTutor

Although I’m fresh from my own academic journey, I’ve seen firsthand how much easier the tough moments become when someone believes in you. That support made all the difference for me, and it’s what I hope to offer my students. Math doesn’t have to feel intimidating—even when it’s confusing at first. With patience, encouragement, and the right tools, confidence really can grow one step at a time.

Tier 4 : Skilled Mentor

Watching understanding brighten the eyes of my students has made teaching the dream profession for me. It allows me the joy and privilege of guiding students through the journey of overcoming obstacles on the path to success. With my Masters in Special Education, I work diligently to provide the best individual instruction to increase abilities, skills, and confidence in learning at all grade levels. Math and English language arts are my favorite subjects, and I look forward to this journey of learning together!

Tier 2  :  Master Tutor

I LOVE doing math with kiddos. They’re so fun, weird and silly! I really can’t imagine working anywhere else. Naturally, I’m great at helping kids slow down, take their time and really get the hang of things. When kids stop rushing and feel relaxed while learning math their progress goes so much faster (ironically). Kids seem to think I’m pretty cool and hip too which makes me happy. In a turtle shell—this is the best job ever!
