​Quiet, Distraction-Free Environment: Provide a dedicated space for your child to focus.

Reliable Technology: Ensure stable internet, a working device (with Zoom or Koala Classroom), and a camera with a mounting arm for desktop visibility.

Consistent Schedule: Stick to a regular schedule to build routine and momentum. Any planned changes to the next month’s schedule need to be communicated to your tutor immediately.

Positive Reinforcement: Encourage your child and celebrate their progress to keep motivation high.

Open Communication: Stay in touch with the tutor and central office for updates, concerns, or adjustments.  Advance notice of any changes is very much appreciated! 

Preparedness: Ensure your child has necessary materials (textbooks, notebooks, etc.) ready for each session.

Timely Payment: TurningPoint Math highly recommends that you use our auto-payment system. If you are paying with a Classwallet Card from an ESA program, we can arrange for invoices to be sent to you automatically when your card is billed, so you have what you need, to get things turned in in a timely manner. 

Schedule Changes: Provide 24 hours advance notice for schedule changes (with the exception of fast-onset illness). Tutors may still bill for sessions when less than 24 hrs notice is given. 
For longer breaks (such as taking the summer off) a deposit is required to hold your spot, refundable with one month's notice of a decision not to return.

Plan ahead and communicate: also know that repeated requests for re-invoicing due to last-minute schedule changes may incur an additional re-invoicing fee.

Notice of Termination: If a family wishes to discontinue tutoring services, advance notice is required based on the student's weekly tutoring hours — one week of notice for every hour of tutoring per week. For example, a student receiving 1 hour of tutoring per week requires 1 week's notice; a student receiving 3 hours per week requires 3 weeks' notice; a student receiving 5 hours per week requires 5 weeks' notice. This notice period allows time to responsibly wrap up the student's learning plan and reassign the tutoring slot, and it is a basic courtesy to the tutor, who can plan accordingly for their budget, too.  Thank you for your consideration!

Late Payment Policy: Invoices are due within 5 days of receipt. If payment is not received within 5 business days of the due date, a $25 late fee will be applied. If payment remains outstanding for an additional 2 business days beyond that, a further late fee of approximately 5% of the invoice total will be applied. Continued non-payment may result in a pause of tutoring services, per the policy above. (this is another good reason to opt for the auto-payment system!  No late fees there, unless your card is declined)
