Welcome to TurningPoint Math, where we take the frustrations you are feeling about math and turn them into confident success!
Free Consultation
Because our founder spent nearly 30 years as a homeschooling parent herself, she has a personal understanding of the challenges you face and questions you might have. So many people helped her, when she had such questions. Now that she has found herself in a position of 'being the expert in the room' she is taking the opportunity to pay that kindness forward, and she will happily hop on a free 30 minute consultation call, just to answer any question you might have about your child's math journey, and help you have peace about what you are doing, or map out a plan for what you can do differently.
1
One-On-One Online Math Tutoring
When we say we provide compassionate online math programs for homeschoolers, what that means is we are flexible, we work around your child's busy schedule, and we link your child with a tutor who truly cares about them, as a person! We do this in a one-on-one setting because we have found this to be the most powerful way to make a substantial and lasting impact on students, as quickly as possible.
2
Parent Coaching
Someone from our team can come alongside you and help you do what you are already doing, but do it a bit better. Someone who knows the big picture with math, and can make sure you are not missing anything or are not teaching something that will later need to be un-taught. Our parent coaching does just that. It brings an 'expert into the room'. Which empowers you to do what you are already doing, but do it even better! (and it helps alleviate those sleepless nights when you lay awake wondering if you are doing the right thing!)

Assessment
Sometimes you just need to know where you are, and how things are really going. There are SO many assessment tools out there, that can help with this, but the tool we use is one that we believe is the very best. It's called the ADAM assessment (Adaptive Diagnostic Assessment of Mathematics) is a powerful tool, that gives us a granular look at exactly where your child may have gaps, and also tells us exactly what we need to do to fill those gaps. Whether you are a regular client, and this testing will take place in one or two of the first sessions we have, or you simply want the testing and nothing else, we believe this tool is the best out there, and we are happy to administer the test, even if you do not plan to engage one of our tutors.

Free Thirty-Minute Consultation
This is simply an opportunity for you to hop on a quick Zoom call and pick our brains, ask us questions, and receive guidance from someone who lives, eats, breathes, and sleeps math, all day, every day. We simply love to help, and we are happy to just hop on a call and answer questions. No smarmy sales talk, no pressure, just help!
FAQs
1 / How Much Does Tutoring Cost?
This is often the number one question, and unfortunately, it's difficult to answer it until we have spoken with you and learned more about your child's specific needs. But the range we are talking is anywhere from $50/week(for two, half-hour sessions with one of our tier four tutors) to $450/week (for our Tier one tutor, for 5 one-hour sessions per week) Typically, it's in about the $100-$300 per week range. But again, this depends on the level of training of your tutor, and how much time you want/need your child to spend with them.
2 / How Do We Select Which Tutor To Work With?
As you may have noticed we have about 10-15 tutors you can choose from. We try to keep things updated on the about us page, so you know which tutors are accepting new students. We will discuss your child's needs and challenges, and while you are filling us in on all of that, we will be paying attention to things we hear 'between the lines' too. Based on all of that, we will suggest a couple of tutors whom we feel are a good match, and give you the pros and cons of each one, and possibly even arrange for you to meet them on a Zoom call, and then narrow it down to which one you feel is the best fit. There are many factors that play in, including personality, expertise, schedule availability, and time zone.
3 / What If We Are Not Happy With The Tutor We Selected
This is not a problem at all - we have a team, so we will find you someone else. No need to worry about 'hard feelings' either, our tutors know that not every student is the ideal student for every tutor! (and Visa Versa). This is why it's nice to work with an agency, because you can work with the Lead Tutor, to make any changes, and it just feels SO much less confrontational, that way!
